It is not always a matter of apples and oranges ...and an image can be like a seed; if planted in our mind, that may be the image we always see when reading something not quite as descriptive as our imagination.

We may picture Adam and Eve eating an apple, but we do not read that.  It was a fruit, and if God wanted us to picture what was described as "pleasant to the eyes", then He would have described it.
